Australia Trip 2008

The flight was 13 hours long. This is the plane, the seats, and the food served. The seats are A LOT more comfortable then they look. Much bigger then an average plane seat, and there was a foot rest under the seat in front, so feet could be kept off the floor, and legs could stretch out all the way. YES!
Also, it was all you could drink! That is bottle 2 and 3 pictured with the food. ;)
The entertainment system was amazing. One could pick from a huge number of movies, TV shows, audio books, video games, and music to listen too. Very slim chance of someone being bored on the plane!

The first day we went to a Botanical Garden, and saw, among other amazing flora and fauna, these guys. Yes, huge fruit bats out during the day. They were EVERYWHERE!

Here are more examples of the nature of the place. Just amazing!
We got to Manly beach via ferry.

The Opera House was a must, Obviously. Here are pics of the outside and the inside.

The Australia Sydney Harbor bridge was amazing. One could take a hike up to the top! We did not opt for that, but we did walk halfway across it.

Look kids! This is what people did before cell phones!

We took the Train to Katoomba, and the Blue Mountains and had a blast. The scenery was amazing and refreshingly un-developed.

There was a tram down to the ground of the Blue Mountains, on which a deck trail had been built. This makes it easy for people to 'hike' the ground, while keeping it hugely untouched. Brilliant!
